Unfortunately, another set of bad overall figures this weekend, and two or three hefty reverses. Spanish bookings make-ups no longer surprise me, but when firstly the golden boy of Madrid, Christiano Ronaldo is twice sent-off at the Bernabeu, and then Barca have two players sent off in one game at the Nou Camp, it does make you think!
Our bookings selections produced 4 winners and 4 losers, but when two of those losers are almost criminally big, at over 11 points between them, it's asking a lot to make that back. And we didn't! Two 145 make-ups in one weekend (one of them I'm querying with Sporting), and we were on the wrong end of both - not good. Enough to make you consider your future participation in these markets, but it really is like any other market, you will have freakish results a few times a season, and a 145 bookings make-up in Spain isn't even so freaky!
What would make me consider stopping is if I couldn't rely on the data I use to crunch the numbers. This has always been a slight concern in these markets, and I know that even Sporting have had problems with this, and in recent weeks, various sites have given very conflicting information.
I'll be monitoring this closely in future weeks, and may even advise only paper trading until I'm happy.
Enough waffle, here are the numbers for this weekend;
Weekend Bookings Total; 3.225pts loss
Weekend Supremacies Total; 5.925pts loss
Weekend Total; 9.15pts loss
La Liga Overall Total; 5.1pts loss
Sorry guys, that's a shocker, 20 points lost in two weekends, and into an overall loss position for the first time since the opening weekend.
