Work For Laytheodds.com And Basically Write Your Own Cheque…
I’m sure you’ll know how hard it can be trying to earn a secondary income whilst working a full time job, juggling a family and balancing your personal life all at the same time.
I know many gamblers, traders and bettors, many of whom try to place ‘sly’ bets whilst at work so the boss doesn’t notice, nip off to the local bookmakers at lunch time or or set up their automated betting software to place bets whilst they’re at work, hoping that when they come home, they’ll have made a profit for the day.
Others are fortunate to be able to work from home and have a bit more freedom to bet and trade when necessary.
But, just trying to earn that little bit of extra money to survive, pay the bills and take regular holidays can be pretty frustrating.
I also know many people who have tried to turn their betting, trading, and gambling knowledge into a full time hobby by setting up a tipping service, or creating a product or a website in the hope of selling their knowledge.
The unfortunately part is that it’s actually very hard to achieve success with this unless you know what you’re doing.
Of the thousands or so people who try to make money either through betting, trading, tipping, setting up a website etc… only a handful make any.
The rest just keep slogging away in the hope that one day they will make it…
And do you know what?
That’s fantastic, because in my opinion, the only way to fail, is to quit! So good on them…. but it’s still frustrating being in that situation.
As many of you know, I’ve been running the http://www.laytheodds.com website for almost 5 years now. It’s been a passion of mine for a long time, but unfortunately due to time restrictions and managing another business, I haven’t been able to give it my full attention.
Fortunately, like clockwork it still brings a full time income in for me,
But…
One of the challenges I face is that the income isn’t going to come in forever and the more I neglect the site, the less income it’s going to produce and the less people will visit.
Over the last few years I’ve added some fantastic articles, tutorials, directories etc to the site but but the content is growing older, and needs updating.
So, I thought about this long and hard…
How could I create a win, win, win situation for myself, you and regular readers and other visitors to the site?
Something that would enable us all to benefit from this excellent resource.
What if I could create a serious money making opportunity by leveraging the laytheodds.com traffic, visitors, and authority with my readers knowledge and expertise and compensate them through the income generated for their work?
I’m currently looking for a handful of people who are bettors, traders, gamblers, punters, poker players, casino players, have an interest in learning and teaching others, can write articles or record video’s and would like to make an extra income working from home to join us at laytheodds.com as a writer/author.
If this sounds like you then you may well qualify for a position.
With over 10,000 people on my mailing list and several hundred people already interested in this opportunity, you will have to qualify and jump through a few hoops so I can see that you are interested and serious about this opportunity.
A Bit of Background
I’ve been working full time online for over 5 years and have several other online businesses, one of which I teach people how to earn an income online and to use the Internet as a tool to promote their products and services and to brand themselves online.
One thing that you may or may not understand, is that when you first create a business… either online or offline, you have to work very hard with no income or payment for your efforts.
This can be very difficult for some people because they’re so used to working for an hourly rate or salary and the thought of speculating to accumulate just isn’t natural to them.
But with the opportunity I’m providing, you can use the power of an existing business and website (laytheodds.com) with your own writing skills and knowledge to earn an income quicker than before.
Laytheodds’s primary source of income is by visitors clicking on and buying various products and services which are recommended or listed in the directory in return for an affiliate commission from the vendor.
This helps the site and similar sites to be able to maintain their overheads and pay their staff to continue to provide excellent content for it’s readers.
The primary goal of laytheodds.com is to provide great value to it’s visitors through articles, reviews, tutorials, tips, ideas, latest news and product launches etc. Basically, a gambling and trading systems/ services news site.
The more value you can provide to our visitors in your writings, the more money you will make from this opportunity.
At present, I’m currently working with a few authors on the site for a 50/50% split in affiliate commissions, and it works very well.
If you are successful, you’ll be in charge of one section on the site. (Lets take the betting bots section for example).
I’ll set you up as an author on the site and you’ll begin to write reviews, tutorials, articles, blog posts etc which document your knowledge and experiences and publish any great websites, resources, systems, bots etc that you find along the way.
You will need to provide honest reviews, feedback and information about your experiences to make sure the end user/visitor is happy with the content.
All links to products within that section will run through your affiliate links.
When someone clicks on the link after they have read your review, article or tutorial and buy the software/product… you make a commission. (Some of these commissions are one time payments, others are monthly recurring payments)
You’ll also be in charge of a specific section of the forum that relates to your section of the site. You will need to reply to threads, update the forum and add your affiliate links when various products or services are mentioned.
At the end of the month, you’ll get paid 50% of the income you’ve made once we’ve been paid by the vendor which is your payment for maintaining and updating the section of the site.
The more content you can add to the site, the more visitors will read your articles/reviews etc and the more income you will earn.
Remember that these articles will remain on the site for a long time, and over time this will add up to alot of opportunities for you to make money.
What Am I looking For?
I’m currently looking for writers & content producers for the following sections.
Arbitrage/ Dutching
Betfair Games
Betfair Trading
Financial Trading
Football Betting
Greyhound Betting
Horse Racing
Lay Betting
Poker
Casino
You will also be in charge of the related section on the forum.
So What Will I Have To Do If I’m Successful?
If you are successful, you’ll take charge of your chosen section of the website and will research new products etc and will add content to the site on a regular basis.
Your job will be to maintain the specific section of the site and contribute on a regular basis…
In the past, I’ve had authors who have come in, added a few posts and then done nothing to update the site but still expect to earn an income from the content they produced. This left me in a tricky situation, so in order to avoid this from happening again, I need to make sure the new authors don’t just come on board, write a few articles and then sit back and do nothing. Therefore I need to protect myself.
So the minumum requirements for content each week are:
1/ Three articles per week, tutorials, experiences, product reviews, great websites, resources or articles you’ve found whilst surfing the net, which can include independant reviews or systems/software or other websites each week. (Articles and reviews to be a minimum of 500 words.)
2/ Five entries into the directory – again, these will be other websites, resources, systems, software etc for people to read. (Descriptions are between 60-100 words of unique content)
3/ Mini update’s/blog posts that tell the readers that you’ve just posted a new article or a new resource in the directory. (This will then be on the front page of the blog and will be sent out a all regular readers who will come back to the site to read your new posts/reviews)
4/ Depending on which section you are writing for, there is also a forum dedicated to that section that you’ll need to contribute to on a regular basis and if and when there are posts and questions.
5/ Reply to comments for your blog post/ articles.
6/ Keep up to date with new product releases/ updates of software, latest news and articles in your chosen category.
Once you understand how the whole process works and I give you certain keywords/ themes to write your articles around, it will be fairly easy.
You can either write all your content on one day and we can upload it for it to be autoposted over the week, or you can write it as and when you need to.
To keep your place as an author/contributor on laytheodds.com you will need to meet the minimum amount of content each week.
Of course, if you are away on holiday or have family problems etc, then you can miss out that week…. as long as it doesn’t get into a habit.
I have plenty of people waiting for this opportunity who will be happy to step in if you are unable to maintain the minimum.
Just remember, this is your opportunity and your section of the website. The more work you are able to do on it, the more you will earn. The content and your reputation adds up over a period of time and you will make more and more money.
Also, if you feel you can’t continue with the role, I will need two weeks notice and you can step down as an author. Of course, all the affiliate links etc will have to be changed to the new author, but whilst you are writing for Laytheodds.com and maintaining the minimum requirements, you will earn the income from sales of the products.
Why laytheodds.com?
Laytheodds.com is a respected site in the gambling and betting exchange industry with:
1000+ unique visitors per day and increasing.
100,000+ page views per month
Large mailing list
Lots of great content and tutorials
It may take a little bit of time until you start earning an income from the work you’ve done, but it wont be anywhere near as long if you started a website or business yourself.
Some of the sections on the site are fairly quiet and don’t have much content, therefore the readership for that section is fairly low. These sections may take longer before an income is coming in.
But… if you take on a quiet section, this basically gives you a blank canvas to start from a fresh and build up a following of readers whilst at the same time leveraging the laytheodds.com existing traffic and authority.
Remember that if you come in as an author with the mindset of a business person rather than earning per hour… you will realise that as a business person work has to be put in before the rewards are reaped…. but although that may take longer to earn, the earnings could be much more than the hourly wage.
This is a genuine opportunity for the right candidates…
Once you’ve written a blog post, article or review… laytheodds.com regular readers will be notified and will come over to the site to read it.
As long as the post is valuable, informative, interesting, and honest, people will read it and if you are recommending a certain product/ software in your post or linking to another post/ review you’ve recently written… chances are that you will make several sales of the product.
So, basically you are using your knowledge, expertise and laytheodds.com existing traffic and visitors to earn an income for yourself.
Why am I doing this?
I’m doing this for several reasons.
I know that there are a lot of knowledgeable people in this industry who would like to share their knowledge and experience with others but setting up a website of their own and making money from it is very difficult because there’s so much competition.
People are desperate to earn a second income due to the recession, and by me opening up Laytheodds to writers/partners, it gives them an opportunity to do so.
I don’t have time to write all this content myself, therefore my readers suffer.
By paying writers such as yourself from the commission’s generated from the site, I can leverage my time and work with several authors who add content. Which creates a win win win situation for all.
You earn, I earn and we provide great content and reviews for all the readers of the site.
