laying horses
9th December
Hi Bloggers, Inspector Colin here, with the results for Days 40 & 41 of Lay of The Day, published by ZeroHype.
I will continue to monitor the results in two sections – Days 1 to 23 and 24 onwards – but will keep tabs on the results from Day 28 on. The original selection method was used for 23 days, making a loss of 43.71 points using level liability stakes, or 11.6 points using the recommended staking plan.
Day 40 (7th December) saw three selections. The first came fifth at odds of 16.5, taking the winning run to 21. However, the second selection edged out the favourite by a short head (who had traded in play at 1.04!) and won at odds of 17.74. The third selection came 7th at odds of 6.63.
Day 41 saw only 1 selection within the odds limits, and the horse duly came 8th at odds of 16.83.
Since the restructuring at Day 24 we have had 35 lay bets and 33 winners. As previously reported the Place lay bets made substantial losses.
Fixed Liability
Days 40 & 41 : Stake 120 points, Loss (-21.3 ) points, ROI -17.7%
Days 24 to 41 : Stake 1740 points, Loss -83.55 points, ROI : -5.6%
Cum: Stake 2520 points, Odds 6.52, Strike rate 82.1% Loss (-127.3) points.
ROI (-5.1)%. Bank (from 1000 start) 872.7 (down 12.7%).
Recommended Stakes
Days 40 & 41 : Stake 80, Loss -14.2 points
Days 24 to 41 : Stake 696.25 points, Gain 1.34 points
Cum: Stake 1005.72 points, Loss 10.29 points.
ROI (-1.0)%. Bank (from 500 start) 489.71 (-2.1%)
So, the strong run of success came to a halt. Let’s hope it was temporary, and we can continue to make gains over the next 15 days – as that will complete the initial trial period.

Hi Bloggers, Inspector Colin here, with the results for Days 38 & 39 of Lay of The Day, published by ZeroHype.
I will continue to monitor the results in two sections – Days 1 to 23 and 24 onwards – but will keep tabs on the results from Day 28 on. The original selection method was used for 23 days, making a loss of 43.71 points using level liability stakes, or 11.6 points using the recommended staking plan.
Days 38 & 39 (5th & 6th December) continued the good run, with another 4 selections, at average odds of 9.8 (including one at 4.3), and all failed to win.
Since the restructuring at Day 24 we have had 31 lay bets and 30 winners. As previously reported the Place lay bets made substantial losses.
Fixed Liability
Days 38 to 39 : Stake 120 points, Gain 16.7 points, ROI 13.9%
Days 24 to 39 : Stake 1620 points, Loss -62.26 points, ROI : -4.1%
Cum: Stake 2400 points, Odds 6.39, Strike rate 82.5% Loss (-106.0) points.
ROI (-4.4)%. Bank (from 1000 start) 894.03 (down 10.6%).
Recommended Stakes
Days 38 & 39 : Stake 80, Gain 11.13 points
Days 24 to 39 : Stake 616.25 points, Gain 15.54 points
Cum: Stake 925.72 points, Gain 3.91 points.
ROI (+0.4)%. Bank (from 500 start) 503.91 (+0.8%)
So, the tips are on very strong run of success, with 20 consecutive winning lays . On the recommended stakes basis, the “Since Day 23″ and overall results are now in profit, despite the 18 point loss from Place laying. The results on a fixed liability basis (which the recommended stakes has now become) are not so good though, thanks to the 123.5 point loss from place laying.

Hi Bloggers, Inspector Colin here, with the results for Days 35 to 37 of Lay of The Day, published by ZeroHype.
I will continue to monitor the results in two sections – Days 1 to 23 and 24 onwards – but will keep tabs on the results from Day 28 on. The original selection method was used for 23 days, making a loss of 43.71 points using level liability stakes, or 11.6 points using the recommended staking plan.
Days 35 to 37 continued the good run, with another 6 selections, at average odds of 14.7, and all failed to win.
Since the restructuring at Day 24 we have had 27 lay bets and 26 winners. As previously reported the Place lay bets made substantial losses.
Fixed Liability
Days 35 to 37 : Stake 180 points, Gain 14.51 points, ROI 8.1%
Days 24 to 37 : Stake 1500 points, Loss -78.96 points, ROI : -5.3%
Cum: Stake 2280 points, Odds 6.33, Strike rate 81.6% Loss (-122.7) points.
ROI (-5.4)%. Bank (from 1000 start) 877.33 (down 12.3%).
Recommended Stakes
Days 24 to 37 : Target profit 59.83 points, Stake 536.25 points, Gain 4.41 points
Cum: Target profit 96.83 points, Stake 845.72 points, Loss (-7.22) points.
ROI (-0.9)%. Bank (from 500 start) 492.78 (down 1.4%)
So, the tips are on very strong run of success. On the recommended stakes basis, the “Since Day 23″ results are now in profit, despite the 18 point loss from Place laying. The results on a fixed liability basis (which the recommended stakes has now become) are not so good though, thanks to the 123.5 point loss from place laying.
However, as we know with relatively high odds lay bets, it doesn’t take much to put a spanner in the works.
