It’s almost Christmas and the weather is getting worst. This is a great time of the year to lay. Horses for courses is an infamous saying , well most horses have a preferred ground conditions, and if it is heavy, this will suit certain types of horse.
Look carefully at the form and discount those that obviously don’t act on the ground. The week didn’t turn out quite as planned. I had problems with BetBotPro, it wasn’t the bots fault, it was my computer…
That said, it still managed to make me more money. Long may it continue
I bit off more than I could chew on the review/testing front – mainly because of seasonal festivities! I couldn’t donate enough time to do the Place to Lay justice. I will definitely look closely at this next week. False Favourites continues to do very well.
I had my own system released this week Gamekeeper Turns Poacher – a quick plug
Our Horse racing guru, Steve, is reviewing this. A 10% discounted refund is available to LTO members only. The Sports Professor continues to provide profitable U.S Sports lays. I can recommend this product.
Next week will be pretty quiet on the testing side of things. I will continue to look at the subscription service Pin Point Lays which has started off very well, long may it continue!
We are having a lot of fun over on the Spread Betting forum, Alex has started a tipping league. join in, it’s fun. I am bottom by the way. Have a look… There are some nice bonuses from these firms too, and Alex has a “system” to make the most from them.
I wish all the members and authors a very Happy Christmas and a very profitable New Year.

Well Xmas is nearly upon us and whilst most of us will be looking forward to putting our feet up for a few days and tucking into the turkey and trimmings, the Racing World will be in one of the busiest times of the year……well weather permitting!!!
The coming weekend sees a fantastic fixture at Ascot, kicking off today(Fri 18th Dec) and having no less than six Class 1 races over the two days, covering bumper, novice chases, and includes the mouthwatering clash between one of last seasons top novice hurdlers, Diamond Harry, and the reigning World Hurdle Champion in Big Bucks. Both horses made mightily impressive seasonal debuts a few weeks ago and both will surely capture some big prizes in the years to come.
The following weekend heralds the running of the King George Chase at Kempton Park, which has been the scene of so many past champions including the legendary grey horse Desert Orchid, who was a standing dish in the race winning it 4 times during the late 1980′s. This years race sees the reigning champion chaser Kauto Star, who is aiming to emulate Dessie’s achievement by winning this prestigious race for the fourth time on the trot, before attempting to defend his Cheltenham Gold Cup crown next March.
We have had a busy week in the horse racing forum with trials on a variety of different methods and systems including Gamekeeper Turns Poacher, which is showing excellent early promise.
Finally for those of you who took note of the advice given in my Making The Best Out Of Free Resources – Part Two article will have enjoyed a very profitable week following the highlighted tipster on the At The Races site with HUGH TAYLOR providing us with winners @6/1, 4/1, and a lovely 16/1 shot on Thursday with Captain Smoothy, which paid 21.00 at sp on Betfair.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all off our readers, greetings for the festive season and a prosperous new year.

The next trial and review to be added to our current ones on the horse racing forum will be on a new laying method for UK and Irish horse racing. Now you may well recognise the name of the author as our very own lay betting guru Mark Layton.
To keep things all above board I have arranged for a separate trial over at the UKBettingTips site. If you have a glance at some of the feedback and comments on other method/system trials you will see that they do not mince their words………good or bad they will say so.
Right, onto the Gamekeeper Turns Poacher details. The method has two parts
and clear instructions and examples are provided for both.
Using the on-line Racing Post site will really speed things up, and you will soon be familiar with what to look for and where, and selections can be found in a few minutes each day.
However in addition to the two laying methods there is also a daily email service from the author. I have been receiving these bulletins for the last few days and so far 11 selections have been advised all of which have been beaten in their races, but to protect your bank each comes with a maximum price at which to lay, and 5 met all of the rules.
To provide consistency to the trial I will be using the Betfair Sp as the parameter to calculate the profit and loss and will also take into account a 5% commission deduction from all winning lay bets.
I have started a new thread for The Gamekeeper Turns Poacher trial on the horse racing forum, and will report the results with a daily update.
