This is the final review of Sprinter Lays.

Sprinter Lays is a horse racing lay service from the well known Betfan management company they offer a free 7 day trial service then offer 2 payment plans of either £34 a month or £68 a quarter.

The selections are received via email  and you also have the back up of your own user name and password which you can use in the Betfan members area, only once did the selections not arrive in my inbox so I can safely say that this a reliable service.

The selections were received usually between 9 and 10am although on the odd occasion selections were sent the night before which I found strange giving that a lot of things can change before race time (ground, runners etc etc), bets were received 6 days out of 7 with sunday being their day off.

According to the Sprinter Lays website the author made 67 Pts profit from December to February so lets see how the 84 days review went on.

The author advised a 75Pt bank and with each selection he/she advised how much liability should be used with each selection.

In the 84 days I received 137 selections in which 21 were winners which made it  84.67% strike rate but as we look deeper into the results we can see the problem of this service.

Out of 137 selections only 10 were less then 3.00 BSP and a whopping 44 were over 10.00 in fact 92 selections were over 6.00 which surely for a laying service is far too high, in the early days of the review it was slow going, with it taking up to day 22 to be in profit on the 1pt liability side, day 37 saw the service be 7pts up but a week later losses saw the service running at a loss again, the service then endured a purple patch and by the time the intial 56 day review had ended things were looking up with the service being up by 10pts (1pt liabilitity) this continued to day 74 with 22.22pts profit in the 1pt liability section and up by £45 at £10 per point.

Unfortunately my fears of the high odds selections came back to haunt Sprinter Lays as  3 big losses killed the service at odds of 9.14, 16.00 and 8.60 and as the old addage goes of  if you play with fire eventually you will get burnt and that is what happened here, the last 3 days brought 2 more losses (4.35 & 8.43) and unfortunately for Sprinter Lays that was that.

My final thoughts are that this laying service seemed very promising at one point but I always had this nagging doubt that a big priced winner was around the corner and my fears came true and with the service running at a big loss plus the £68 subscription fee, then unfortunately it will have to go into the failed category.

The results on the Sprinter Lays website haven’t been updated since the end of February, which for me speaks volumes.
