Betting Pro Trades – Day 42

0

Hello Bloggers,

On F A Cup third round day, three selections were provided, two for the Cup and one from La Liga in Spain.

England – F A Cup
Norwich City vs Burnley

Advice: Lay Under 2.5 Goals
Lay odds advised: 2.00, stake: £100.00.
Back odds advised: 4.00, stake: £50.00.
Lay odds taken: NA.

When I first opened this market this morning, it seemed like very single cup tie was on the in play market, which for me meant more games than would normally be at this time on a Saturday.

The odds on offer were 2.36/2.40, and the lowest point they had been at was 2.26, which was the first match on the graph, with the total matched in the market was less than £4000.

By kick off, Norwich had named what appeared to be a full strength side, the odds had drifted to 2.42/2.48, with less than £9,000 matched. So I left the bet open, in the hope of a quiet start, and the price to drop quickly.

The Canaries got off to a fast start, with goals at 6 and 12 minutes, and I withdrew the lay bet.

England – F A Cup
Bristol Rovers vs Aston Villa

Advice: Back Any Unquoted Score.
Back odds advised: 6.00, stake: £50.00.
Exit advice: Should either side lead by 2:0, lay at odds available to provide a free bet on original back bet, or should Aston Villa take an early one goal lead, and the odds drop below 3.00.
Back odds taken: 6.00.

The odds on offer here this morning were 5.60/5.70, with just over £2,500 matched, so placed the order as advised at 6.00.

By kick off, Villa’s outfield 10 were pretty much first choice players, and as the game was being televised, had reduced to 4.90/5.00.

However, in just over ten minutes, the bet was picked up.

Villa scored after 35 minutes, the odds reduced to only just over 5.00. They scored again after 64 minutes. This time the odds got to only 6.00, albeit briefly, without a chance of making any profit, so I stayed in.

They scored again after 78 minutes, and I was able to lay the stake off at 3.50.

However, Rovers scored in injury time, and although no loss here, no profit either.

Spain – La Liga
Malaga vs Atletico Madrid

Advice: Lay Draw
Lay odds advised: 3.50, stake: £100.00.
Back odds advised: 7.00, stake: £50.00.

The odds offered this morning stood at 3.50/3.55, and the first games in La Liga since before Christmas had matched nearly £60,000. The order was placed at 3.50.

By kick off, the odds had drifted very slightly, to 3.65/3.70, with plenty of liquidity across the market, and I left the lay bet to be picked up , which happened within ten minutes of kick off.

Everything I saw today expected goals in this particular game, but none arrived, so a full liability loss here, with only 12 shots on goal in the whole of the game, only half of which were on target.

Loss to bank: £250.00.

Liabilities for today: £300.00.
Total liabilities to date: £15221.60.

Loss for the day: £250.00.
Current Bank: £523.08 (starting bank £2000.00)

Selections: 106 (5 voided, 2 scratched)
Wins: 66
Strike Rate: 62.3%.

Until the next time,

Inspector DJ
