Lay Of The Day – Days 20 to 22
12th November 2011
Hi Bloggers, Inspector Colin here, with the results for Days 20 to 22 of Lay of The Day, published by ZeroHype.
Day 20 was successful, with the one selection coming in to 8.8 from the odds of 10 recommended. The horse came third.
Day 21 might have put the nail in the trial’s coffin – as we had two lay bets, and the first one won at odds of 11.2! The second recovered some of the damage, coming 5th but at long odds of 15.0 by the time I placed a bet (20s at SP).
Day 22 saw a fairly bold selection, of a second favourite which traded at 7.4. It came in below that level, but drifted towards the end. The horse came a very distant third place.
I’m monitoring against fixed stakes (a 30 point liability per bet or 3% of the original bank), and using the recommended staking provided by Lay of the Day.
Hit rate still looks decent at 84% overall, but we have the following results:
Fixed Stake
Days 20 to 22 : Stake 120 points, Odds 9.73, Loss -19.72 points
Cum: Stake 750 points, Odds 8.84, Loss (-50.66) points.
ROI (-6.8)%. Bank (from 1000 start) 949.3 (down 5.1%).
Recommended Stakes
Days 20 to 22 : Target profit 4 points, Stake 38.49 points, Loss -7.34 points
Cum: Target profit 36 points, Stake 305.4 points, Loss (-12.58) points.
ROI (-4.1)%. Bank (from 500 start) 487.42 (down 1.4%)
4 losing bets now – and every time we get anywhere near breakeven, we seem to hit a “winning” horse.
