Dave Campbell – Bet-Ie
Finally the eagerly awaited Bet-Ie Version 2.5 has been released! We spoke to Dave about some of the new features of the software.
Hi Gavin, yes its launch date eventually! It’s been a long road to get here, but we are pleased to bring the brand new version of Bet-IE into the marketplace at last.
Could you tell us a little more about Bet-Ie Version 2.5?
Certainly, we have developed a few new functions for the new version of Bet-IE and looked to improve on the existing functions.
The Learning Mode was so well received in the original Bet-IE for the Trading function that we had been asked could it be made available for all functions, so that’s been added, so now even a total beginner to Betfair can “practice” without having to place his bank at risk.
Exchange games is another request we have been asked for so Bet-IE can now play the Exchange Games to Dutch, Lay Hedge etc…
We were constantly being asked if we could increase the capacity for Dutching runners in an event, as a lot of users liked to Dutch correct score football markets and there were 17 variables, needless to say the original Bet-IE only had 16!! so we have increased the dutching capacity to 24 runners now, so that will keep all the football punters in profit!
We have also made available FREE to Bet-IE users our unique ratings and ratios to utilise with the softwares Dutching function primarily although they can highlight all kinds of “edges” to exploit in the markets. The results are really breathtaking Gavin and very consistent.
We have also been asked to add a basic Lay Dutching function to add yet another Laying angle to the software, so again we added it!
Also we decided that if your bet was unmatched and the odds had moved, why could you not adjust the stakes and the odds? so we have added this flexibility to the software.
Finally but not least we added the ability to bet below minimum stakes, now this is extremely useful when Dutching an event with bigger prices covered, as you know Gavin that can throw the returns out of line. So we can now offer below minimum stakes bets.
It cant be easy keeping up with the other Bots on the exchanges, how do you ensure you are at the forefront of the market?
Well let me start by correcting you there Gavin, Bet-IE is not a “bot” she is a software that needs a users input, the decision to place the bet is in the hands of the user. To make sure our software is at the forefront of the market isn’t easy I can tell you. Luckily though both Nessie and myself are both full time professional investors and have been for many years now!!
That means we only add functions to the software that we ourselves are happy to use, we test the techniques thoroughly before looking to add them as a function. Also our customers play their part in the ongoing development of the software, its thanks to their input that we are able to add those little touches that are so often overlooked. At bettingprofitsoftware we positively encourage user feedback, and where we can we look to act upon it.
Many current bots use the Betfair API – Why doesn’t Bet-Ie and does it affect its performance.
With the API the biggest consideration is speed. if the Betfair API was faster than interrogating the server directly then we would use the API.But along with other developers we found that this is not the case. The API carries a lot of information much of which we dont need, so we just get the data we require. The second consideration is cost. Betfair charge the developer a monthly fee for the API, which the developer pushes onto the customer. Why should we be paying for something that brings customers to Befair? Especially when it not as good as our own methods!
I really like the idea of a Bet Manager, can you tell me a little more about it, and how it works.
Yes although I really shouldn’t let the cat out of the bag! This new module will basically manage bets around your own criteria. So lets say I worked all day but liked to Dutch, I can tell the Manager exactly how I like to Dutch. Say 3 minutes before the race, if I have a profit available of say 30% and a market spread of 80%+, I have 3 horses indicated and a strength showing, then place the Dutch for me. The difference between this manager and a “bot” is this only places bets around your betting criteria, it won’t place a bet unless your specific criteria are met.
What Betfair markets is Bet-Ie v 2.5 best suited to?
Any!! Obviously horse racing markets, sports markets, financial markets, greyhounds even Exchange Games all the functions can be easily adapted to virtually any market of the users choice.
I hear that Bet-Ie has a new Learning Mode. sounds great, how exactly does it work.
We have the live market odds refreshing as you would normally, this time however the bet is not sent through directly to the markets instead Bet-IE records the position from the Live odds in the market place. So you can see your exact position in the market, its ideal for beginners of Betfair and its even ideal for new users of the software, just to get a feel for the setup. However its also ideal to test those theories that have been niggling in the back of your mind, you know the sort of thing Gavin “I wonder if this would work?” well now you have an ideal medium to test those theories out without losing any of your betting bank.
The support that the Bet-Ie users are given from yourselves is fantastic. How do you manage to fit everything in?
We are very respectful that clients have paid money for this product, and if they need help and support then we answer as swiftly as possible. We decided from the word go Nessie and myself to offer a level of support that we ourselves would expect. There is nothing more frustrating than feeling that you have been ignored. We don’t let that happen Gavin as I am sure you are fully aware.
Do you have anything else you would like to add about the software and the current Betfair markets.
I would strongly advise your clients Gavin to avail themselves of the free Ratios to use in conjunction with the software, like I have said they are completely unique to our software and give our clients an edge that may not be obvious at first glance. It gives a new dimension to a lot of users and when the Dutch is weighted around the Ratio the profits can soar.
Thanks for the grilling Gavin!! LOL
I look forward to welcoming a lot of your clients as customers in the very near future, stay lucky and chat again soon.
Dave

Go on! Have your say!
