Hi Pete

Basically you select one horse that you fancy strongly to win or at the very least finish placed, then from a 2nd race you pick two horses that also have good claims. With the 6 points staked you are backing each selection to win, but 1 point on your strongest selection and 1/2 point on each of the two horses in race two, in addition you also have a each-way double between your best bet (race 1) and both the horses in race two. That means you have a win double and place double between the the two races. Hope this helps answer your query....best of luck.

Race 1
1 point Win – Horse A

Race 2
0.5 points Win – Horse B 0.5 points Win – Horse C

1 point each-way double on Horse A and Horse B

Here are the possible combinations of winning.

C gets a place
The Result = 2 win singles, 1 win double, 2 place doubles.

Hi Hein

I am not familiar with South African racing as we have enough UK based racing to work with. However I believe that the main UK bookmakers such as Ladbrokes and William Hills do allow betting on the main SA meetings, you can open internet or phone accounts in a few minutes.

Hope this helps
