I have spent the last 20 years and more as a systems analyst and a software engineer for major bookmakers. During this time I have compiled a massive database for betting purposes (both Lay systems and Back systems).

My insight into the goings on at the bookmakers and with the markets has enabled me to trade very succesfully. I achieved a BSc in Geosciences at University, and started work as an Inspector of taxes for the Inland Revenue.

Racing was in my blood from an early age, heightened when Brigadier Gerard won the 2000 Guineas. I began compiling my own ratings at the age of 11. After a few years working for the Civil Service, I built up an Import/Export company which proved very successful, and allowed me to buy homes in the UK, France and Spain.

I took, and passed various Microsoft exams, including an M.C.S.E and a few M.C.S.A’s. I used these qualifications to further my career as a Systems Analyst and to compile and build a massive database for Horse racing.

I was a competent sportsman, which included playing as a semi-professional footballer, Cricket and Golf. I have now retired from working and spend my day’s trading on the exchanges, using the systems that I have built, with great success.

Laying is a passion of mine and I hope to pass on a lot of this experience to the members. I have a lot of lay sytems that are profitable - they will be published on the site in due course. I hope the forum becomes more active, as a lot of information and ideas can be shared there.

I spoke with a brother of mine in the week. He has been gambling on horses for nigh on 40 years but knows nothing of Betfair. I spent a good 45 minutes explaining to him the benefits (and the pitfalls) of lay betting. His answer? EASY!!! I questioned his response and he replied “I’ll just lay 100/1 shots every day and make a fortune”! Oh! How wrong he is!!! He would require 105 losing bets just to cover ONE 100/1 winner, and that is why laying is not easy! Fortunately, we have some excellent systems and subscription services on our side.

Some of us aren’t fortunate enough to be able to spemd 18 hours a day studying form and watching the racing (I am a lucky one). Because of this, we really do need to have a portfolio of systems and subscription services to help us make a profit from this game.

I will list below the recommended systems, but I’ll give you one piece of advice – take no notice of those that say they will make you millionaires - it just doesn’t happen and these people are just after a quick pound (or hundreds). So what do we actually want from a system (or subscription service) ? Well, we need good, consistent profits. I would say that 10 points a month is worthy. We also need the system to be easily operated (an email or tipping line back up is even better), and we need GOOD customer service – we MUST have an email to write to, and expect a reasonably prompt reply.

Sounds simple doesn’t it? Unfortunately, a system such as this is RARE!! I have , however, listed below, a number of systems that qualify and I recommend them…

Over the past few months we have concentrated on building a portfolio consisting of Lay systems ONLY! There is an alternative approach to this where we buy a back system, and thereby gain two advanatages: we have horses to back and horses to lay (the back horses being eliminated for lay purposes. In effect, we end up backing and laying in the same race – allowing us two chances of making profits.

Dutching DiamondOverall, the backs will negate the losses incurred by laying AND should allow us to profit twice from a given race. There are many systems out there – the majority are useless, with a number of scams. So where do we look? The answer has to be a reputable publisher, and Sportsworld Publishing fall into the latter, as I know from experience that the systems have to be proofed to the editorial team before they will even consider publishing under their banner.

One such back system was released in the past few weeks, and I’m sure our Horse racing expert Steve will be conducting a review soon. The product in question is The Dutching Diamond. This has a great record for it’s back bets and will pinpoint the horses to avoid for laying purposes – a great asset to have in one’s armoury.

The results have been impressive over the last 4 months wich we can use to our advantage on a lay perspective – AND we would have made significant level stakes profits by backing them.

Followers of the lay selection SHOULD be building up a portfolio of profitable systems – add in a couple of back systems and you will make profits, week in, week out.

If in doubt, leave it out!!!

A little over six weeks ago a new lay system hit the markets. It was titled “Steady Profits” and, as part of my duties for LTO, I got hold of a copy for review. It was delivered to my mailbox as an e-book, in other words a pdf file, and consisted of about 28 pages. As ever, and I loathe this, the first 10 pages were full of B.S!! I took one look at the “rules” and had a good mind to file it along with the hundreds of others that are destined for that mythical drawer.

However, I asked one of our members to test it for me. Unfortunately, I lost the results when my computer malfunctioned. Anyway, the point of this is to let you know that in the six weeks, the system has gone from whatever pounds it cost originally to be FREE!

However, please don’t get carried away and think you will be getting a free bargain – this system is atrocious and has to be treated with caution, in fact, please don’t follow it! The strike rate will be very good, I admit that, but ONE winner and you could be in BIG trouble.

Spend a few quid on one of our recommended systems -
