Internet cafes have been shut down in Greece and Cyprus and new ones have been opened, here are the following root names (always followed by random numbers, usually 1 to 10) of Betfair internet cafe players:
Marcia
Tipiko.
Keep watching out for the usual ones as they will likely be back:
Akropol
Nonnos
Polys.
This is what I gathered up from the mystery last time round.
This time, I managed to add another piece to this complex jigsaw puzzle. It turns out that in the “Tipiko” Cypriot internet cafe, players exchange 100 Euro in return for 100 US Dollars to play. From today’s exchange they should receive $126.75. However, if the player ultimately wins they get paid back in Euro making it seem fair, right? Wrong. Most lose, especially if they are shortstack pricks and get punished on the exchange rate. Ouch. I will get back to you whether this is common business practice across all greek/cypriot internet cafes.
In other news, Betfair has officially announced that it is leaving its standalone poker room and joining the Ongame Network at the end of July 2010.

Isn’t it a pain to join a new poker site and not have ANY information on your opponents and their tendencies? Not anymore, as long as you play at Betfair Poker.
I have put together a FREE comprehensive Fish and Shark lists with hundreds and even thousands of hands on each fish/shark. The most important information includes the percentage of hands seen on flop and raise percentage. By using this information correctly, you will obtain a significant edge over your opponents.

…sometimes but why? Lately it just seems that there’s too many fish out there where I play and just too little time. I write about my frustrations of not having a life outside fishing in this recent article. Thank God the World Cup is just around the corner, Kevin has done an excellent job on his comprehensive World Cup write-ups!
As for the mystery, at Betfair Poker, have you ever wondered why there are so many Greeks and Cypriots with similar sounding nicknames? Also, why some of them lose their stack but stubbornly just sit out with $0…click here to find out why and how to profit from them.
