Friday Footy Tips
We are almost at the end of the domestic season now, in fact this weekend is the final full programme because the Blue Square Premeir finishes this Saturday. To fall in line with that, this then will be the final weekend when I will be publishing my Friday Footy Tips.
This will be the 15th week of my Friday Tips and touch wood we have only had 1 losing weekend, every week other than that one you have made money. All of my tips have been at odds that are above evens (2.0), so it means that even if we get just 1 out of 2 correct, then we have made money.
Up to date we have a Strike Rate of 54% and a ROI of 22% and I can tell you that in the football world that is pretty good going. So for the final time let’s have a look at what we should be backing and laying this coming weekend. Well in fact it will actually be Back bets for this final weekend.
Back Arsenal 20/19 Expekt – Arsenal are at home to Man City and it is a big game for both of them. City need the points for a Champions League place, whilst Arsenal will want to put the misery of Wigan out of their minds, 2-0 up with 10 minutes to go and losing 3-2 is not what Mr Wenger would want and you can be sure there will be some sort of reaction to that this weekend. City are under pressure and that may just put them off their game. Arsenal have only dropped home points to Chelsea, Man Utd and Everton this season and they will not want to make that 4 with Man City. If they can stifle Tevez they must be in with a good chance and at the price they are the value in this game and I take them to burst the Champions League bubble for Man City.
Back Brighton 11/10 Coral – Brighton are at home to Bristol Rovers and will want to bring a poor little run to an end. Even with that bad run they have only lost 3 out of their last 13 games and Gus Poyet will be encouraging them to get the win as he is currently in negotiations for a new contract and will want to add a good performance to his credentials. Bristol Rovers had been in decent form themselves but have gone off the boil a little in their last 3 games, losing 2 and drawing 1. At the odds there is a little bit of value on the side of Brighton and I am prepared to give them another chance to put things right.

It was such a terrible game, probably the worst I have seen this season. I couldn’t understand what was going on. Why were City so defensive, it was a game they needed to win and once Arsenal has sussed that out, why didn’t they go at City more. It just made no sense at all and in the end no sesnse turned it into a nonsense. Terrible, terrible game!!

I was also backing the gunners, City played so defensively…

Thanks Alex. Yes unfortunately Arsenal have problems all over the field at the moment, not least the goalkeeper and that is why they are so long with the Books. However, watching City against United last week it just felt to me that they were running out of steam. City are not as devestating away from home, Wenger will want a reaction to the events at the DW stadium and of course City have all those ex Arsenal stars in their ranks, including Mr Adebayor.
Personally, I don’t react too much to players being out, that is all part of the game and whoever Wenger puts in the starting XI will be top players and have the pride to go out and do a job. The Books have reacted to Arsenal’s problems and on the season’s stats they now have plenty of value on their side and that is the parameter for all my betting.

I have followed you all 15 weeks and i’m glad to say that i’m showing a profit. Keep up the good work!
However, this week I am not too sure about Arsenal because I hear Almunia is out and is being replaced by the not so competent Fabianski!
