The Prophet of Doom? or Deliverance?
Over the last couple of months I have been trialling and testing the Footballing Prophets. Today I intend to have a closer look at it and see if it is worthwhile investing in.
When you first go over onto their website you are struck with the absolute simplicity of it. I love it, straightforward, easy on the eye, a simple message, no over-hyped sales pitch. You quickly find out that there a number of ways in which you can profit from this service and one of them is absolutely free, yes that’s right, one of them is free.
If you go over to their site every Saturday you will find a number of selections that you can back, even if you don’t back all of them, you may want to pick out a nice treble to help boost your finances and this is free, you just can’t go wrong.
As for the paying site you have 3 service options, there is:-
- 10% Club, ideal for the smaller bank that you like to build up quickly.
- On the Draw, strike rate not as high but has made excellent profits.
- Full Tips Club, both of the above plus the best Home and Away selections.
10% Club
This is aimed at those who have a smaller bank and need high strike rates to keep in the game. The idea is that whatever size bank you start with, you place 10% of it on each bet. So for instance if you start with a £100 bank, you would place a £10 bet on the first tip and let’s say that tip is at even money, it wins, so your bank increase to £110, your next bet will be for £11 (ie 10% of £110). If the bet had lost and your bank had gone down to £90, then your next bet would be for £9. In essence, you adjust the size of your next stake after each bet. On average you will receive one selection every 2 days (there has been 33 in the last 2 months).
From Christmas, this service had a shaky start. After 3 weeks it had lost almost 20% of the starting bank but for the last month it has seen nothing but winner after winner and as I write this, the 10% Club has not had a loser in the last month. That is 18 winners on the trot. 18 winners consecutively is unheard of but it has happened in the last month and we are not talking about 10/1 on shots here. Ok, it would be fair to say that the majority of the selections are at odds on but the average price since Christmas has been 5/6 (1.85 in European language) and that is not too bad at all, just a shade of odds on but come on, 18 winners on the trot. The bank has increased to £3371, that is 237% since Christmas.
On the Draw
This is the new service, which started on January 12th, and as the title suggests, this is a method of backing the draw. Now I must say that backing the draw in English league games is not my favourite way of making a living but the results for the first 6 weeks have been astounding. You do get a lot of bets with this one, since starting they have had 91 bets of which 37 have been successful that is over 40% strike rate. If you had bet each one at £100, you would have increased a £1000 bank into almost £4000, at £10, a bank of £100 would now be almost £400, that is absolutely staggering. If you like a lot of action, then this one is for you. On match days you will up to 10 or even more selections.
Full Tips Service
With this one you get the full kit and caboodle. On match days you will receive between 4 and 6 of their best Home and Away tips for the day. You also get the 10% Club selection and all the On the Draw selections. On match days you will be spoilt for choice, with possibly up to 20 selections to choose from. Over the last month, the Home and Away tips have produced over £720 in profit to £100 stakes. If you added all 3 services together, they have produced a profit of £5970 to £100 stakes. If you had reduced stakes of £10, this would have left you £597 in profit, almost 60 points in the last month from the 3 services combined.
All of the selections are sent to you by e-mail the night before the games, so you have plenty of time to get your bets on. I know that 1 month is not long enough to test a service for but it does give a taste of what they can do. After all, normally when you test a service you find that it goes into terminal decline all of a sudden, so it has been a refreshing change to find one that has 3 systems and all 3 of them have produced excellent profits. When I first got to know about the Prophets they had intended to bring out a lay service but I think that has been put on the backburner for a while. I mean, they are doing quite well as it is. If you want to find out more you can do here.
For those that are following the HT/FT system, the games that I am looking at this weekend are as follows:-
Leicester v Forest
Preston v Cardiff
Huddersfield v Leeds
Stockport v Wycombe
Yeovil v MK Dons
Burton v Rotherham
Lincoln v Crewe
Torquay v Accrington
Hayes v Mansfield
Salisbury v Wrexham
Psychic Soccer is going live on Sunday after a prolonged trial. It started well but then fell away badly. They had to re-assess the project and have now come up with a system that is working so much better. This service started life as an in-play laying system but has now developed into an in-play laying/trading strategy using the aid of a bot, which will trade out winning positions if necessary or leave them as a straight lay if the match position allows. The P/L account has now got a feel good factor, with all things pointing in the right direction. Have a look at it here.
The Friday Footy Tips are looking in the Premiership and Championship this weekend:-
Back Burnley 23/20 Blue Square – crunch time has arrived for Burnley, whilst crunch time has long past for their visitors Portsmouth, the death knell tolled for them before Christmas. Burnley however are not much better off, having lost 6 of their last 7. I think they know that if they don’t win this one then they are down along with Portsmouth. Burnley have only lost twice at home this season, which is brilliant for a team next to bottom but they really have to start winning again and their best possible opportunity awaits them this weekend and I go for them to sneak a win.
Lay West Brom 1.6 Betfair - West Brom are at home to Derby who improved significantly since Christmas, including a draw and a win against Newcastle. They do tend to lift their game for the big teams and Nigel Clough has got them into a decent run, they have won 4 of their last 7. West Brom have not won in their last 2 games and the pressure is on them as they try to get into the automatic promotion place, their form has dipped a little in the last 2 games and I just feel that the resistance Derby put up will be too much for West Brom to overcome.

Well done with that Kuchiki, the HT/FT can be very profitable if you find the right angle, so stick with it. Bad weekend for me on the football front, hoping for better luck this week.

Well done with the HF/FT, Kevin, although the Friday Footie didn’t go too well… it was the first time though, right?
By the way, remember when I told you the Draw-Home outcome wasn’t so good in my results? Well, today I spotted 13 matches with my criteria and 4 of them finished with a Home-Draw outcome… the 2 you also won, plus Barnsley-Blackpool & Bristol Rovers-Colchester… oh and there were 2 more games with a Home-Draw outcome… i’m starting to believe this is actually a good option to the future.
Actually, today was a strange day, only one away win in the 13 games played … but between 2 and 2.5 (betfair odds) there were lots of away wins all around Europe… and believe me, there weren’t even half the wins in these last weeks…

Yes the HT/FT made 2.5 points profit, that is 24 points in the last 4 weeks. Derby were well set, leading into the second half but West Brom put their foot down and came out good winners. That was a nice spot from you with Pompey and from all reports it was well deserved, I will stay clear of Burnley from now on. It now means there is only 1 relegation place left as far as I can see, with both Pompey and Burnley going down.

2 out of 10 on the HT/FT is a win!
Unlucky with West Brom lay

It’s a case of who needs the points more. Portsmouth don’t need them any more but Burnley definitely do. It’s a must win for them, I am banking on them re-discovering their home form. If they don’t win this one they are down, so they should be highly motivated.

I like Burnley but dont you reckon that Porstmouth will play better now with less pressure since they are virtually guaranteed to go down?
