Friday Footie Update
More or less back to normal on the football front, let’s hope the weather doesn’t go and spoil it all this weekend. A lot to get through today, so we shall get straight on with it.
The Africa Cup of Nations has completed its’ preliminaries and we are now onto the knockout stage. From our original 4 picks for Group winners we got 3 correct and our 4th finished in second place, so we are quids in and if you played them together in an acca, then you will be having a fab weekend, well done. Our long shot Angola has come through unscathed and you can now lay them off for a guaranteed profit of 70% ROI, or if you prefer let it roll on a little longer. The quarter finals take place on Sunday/Monday, Angola v Ghana, Ivory Coast v Algeria, Egypt v Cameroon and Zambia v Nigeria.
We have placed a free football lay system in the Tutorial section this week. Football Lay Devil is from one of our own readers and has been doing very well for the last month but has taken a couple of hits this week, however it is still well in profit and it is free, so why not give it a try this weekend.
I have been continuing the trial of Psychic Soccer Profits, an in-play lay betting service where you have to be quick off the mark. The service is due for release next month. What they do is send an e-mail during play with their selection to lay, you need to be able to receive this e-mail as it comes through and place your lay on the exchanges quickly. It has been a very profitable week, with every day bar one being a winning day. Currently almost £300 up and nearly a 30% increase on bank.
With the increase in big Asian books taking residence on these shores, I have placed an Asian Handicap System on the Football Systems Section. Whereas Asian handicapping has not yet taken off over here, I am sure it will do in time and you are able to avail yourself of some cracking bets in this market and the overrounds with the Asian books do tend to be smaller, giving everyone a better chance.
Time for our Friday Footie Tips. This week I am looking in League 1 and 2.
Back Millwall 13/8 BetFred Millwall are away to Oldham on Saturday. Oldham have only played once since 2nd January and that was on Wednesday. Second game after a lay off usually takes it’s toll in the end. Oldham have only won 25% of their home games and had a bit of a battle on Wednesday. Millwall have played regularly despite the weather, they are in good form, having lost just once in the last 8 games, with a lot of tough ones in there. They are just outside the play-offs and need the points. Their away form is not brilliant though and that is probably why they are 13/8, but at that price I think they are a bit of value.
Lay Rotherham 1.58 Betfair Rotherham are at home to Grimsby on Saturday. Rotherham have only played once since 12th December and that was on Tuesday at home to bottom of the table Darlington. Rotherham lost their unbeaten home record. Again, the bounce factor may come in here, with Rotherham feeling the effects of 2 games in 4 days after a long lay off. Grimsby are in dire trouble next to bottom and in desperate need of points but they are better away than at home and have in fact got something from more than 50% of their away games. At the odds, I think Rotherham are worth a lay.
Good luck with those.
