Slow and Steady Wins the Race

0

Generally speaking I’m more a fan of the hare that rushes around and then has a rest than the slow and steady tortoise who wins the race.

I’m pretty sure that that’s not a true story anyway!

However when it comes to betting it’s best to shy away from the lottery mentality of the big win and instead go for regular small gains.

One reason is that it is a lot easier mentally to make small regular profits than it is to have consistent losses followed by the euphoria of a big win.

But also because it takes a lot longer to be sure of a method that only wins occasionally, if you are relying on 33/1 winners then you need to have a good few of these before you can be sure that you havent just fluked a few winning sequences and if you have a couple of winners together then there could be a very long losing run before the next winner.

These losing runs can test you to the limit and have you giving up on a potentially winning system.

On the slow and steady side of things I am currently experimenting with a nifty little add on for the Gruss Betting Assistant that has been created by our regular automation contributor to the Betting School Insiders Report, namely Marc Chawner.

This tool makes very small (relatively speaking) profits regularly.

Basically what it does is to lay all the runners in a race to try and gain an overround position and thus a locked in profit.

I’m experimenting with £50 stakes, that is my liability and the most I can lose on a race and typically I am making upto £15 profit on a race, when I lose I have lost as much as £20, but overall so far I am making slow and steady gains.

Once I am confident of long term gains I’ll up my stakes slowly but surely.

So my message to you today is think about that tortoise and create some strategies that will make you small but regular profits it may not be so exciting but for me at least profit is more important than excitement.

PS I’ll hopefully get a video up in the next few days showing the tool in action.
