Just the one trade issued today for members on the first day of the New Year.
England – Premier League
Sunderland vs Manchester City
Advice: Lay Under 2.5 Goals
Lay odds advised: 2.20, stake: £150.00.
Back odds advised: 4.40, stake: £75.00.
Lay odds taken: 2.20.
When I first opened the market this morning, the odds on offer stood at 2.18/2.20, although at that point, we were not fully matched. The remainder took only a short while to be matched.
When the teams were announced around 45 minutes to kick off, Aguero and Silva were on the bench, and Balotelli was missing completely.
The odds, during the next ten to fifteen minutes took a tumble down to even money, and were still at that point at kick off.
Although the game had chances at both ends, the only goal of the game came in the third minute of injury time, so a full loss to be taken on the chin today.

In the last week of the test, there were two games offered as selections, one on Tuesday, the other on Saturday.
England – Premier League
Swansea City vs Queens Park Rangers
Advice: Lay Queens Park Rangers
Stake: 5% of bank as liability (Trade £27.67) (Betting £26.79)
Odds: 4.50.
The odds when I first looked at the market after the email was received were 4.00/4.10. I placed an order in the hope of being matched before kick off.
By kick off, odds were at 4.70/4.90, with the lay bet having been picked up within an hour of being placed.
With Swansea scoring after 14 minutes, the odds drifted out nicely to 12.00, offering a decent reward, and although Queens Park Rangers got an equaliser short of the hour mark, the straight lay strategy game in as well.
England – Championship
Middlesbrough vs Peterborough United
Advice: Lay Peterborough United
Stake: 5% of bank as liability (Trade £28.65) (Betting £27.96)
Odds: 5.80.
The odds when I first looked at the market after the email was received were 5.80/6.00. I placed an order in the hope of being matched before kick off.
With a few moments before kick off, the odds on offer had drifted, to 6.40/6.60, but the lay bet had been matched earlier in the afternoon.
Middlesbrough scored after 51 minutes, and after the market had settled a little, I was able to close the trade part of the bet at 26.00.
Although Peterborough scored after 87 minutes, and with a little relief, both parts of the selection came through.
