This bit of news places an entirely new meaning on the joke, “Poker… I don’t even know her!”

Kent County (Mich.) police raided a Ramada Plaza Hotel that was holding an illegal poker tournament, but the illicit gambling wasn’t the only taboo portion of the event.

The Grand Rapids Poker Club advertised an evening of food, drinks, poker and topless dealers on Craiglist for interested parties.

“That’s how it came on our radar screen, they were so open about it,” said Lt. Schram of the Michigan State Police.

Not only did the tournament feature topless dealers, but also hostesses that provided an assortment of entertainment throughout the evening.

“These topless dealers would perform different aerobic exercises,” said Lt. Schram. “Twister games for tips, Jello shots for tips.”

Police had been monitoring the operation, run by a man from Detroit, for weeks and arrested 20 people during the raid last Saturday. Four of the topless dealers were arrested and one was completely nude.

The Poker Club had at least 40 members and “meetings” began back in November.

Horse racing is almost back to normal now, except for the odd abandonment. I thought it was time, with the major festivals looming, to look at the products I have trialled so far and compile a portfolio of lay systems.

The latest system I have trialled is Betfair Miracle – this will be released on Saturday and is limited to 300 copies only! Get on board NOW!! This promised to be the best lay system ever, and so far it has lived up to that billing in trials with a 100% success rate!! You actually get two systems for the price of one. There are 4 or 5 simple rules to follow. It will take you 10 minutes (maximum) per day. Highly recommended even at this early stage. And remember – our members get a 30% discount!!

Another that I can recommend highly is False Favourites – this is more like a manual than a system, although it does point one at the “false favourites”. Ideal for all codes of racing and relatively cheap compared to the majority of systems, this is a must for ones portfolio.

I think a good, profitable subscription service would be a nice addition to our lay betting too, and Pin Point Lays fulfills that role very nicely. The selections are always available well in time for the racing and they have an excellent strike rate.

If you want to make your punting profitable you need the above portfolio and perhaps another 2 or 3 systems with it. Once you are armed with your selections it’s time to lay them with Betfair. Why not open a new account with Betfair using say PayPal. You even get £25 free if you click here

Lay betting isn’t just centred on Horse Racing – we can bet at all times of the day now, and a good subscription service for U.S Sports is available from the Sports Professor.

The lay betting forum is getting busier at last. We have a couple of members trialling their own lay systems. Join in or visit us here.

In the next blog, I will be addressing laying to a liability, trialling some newer systems including Betalay.
